“Meaningful Use” Stage 1 Handbook
This handbook is provided to you a Chart(x) user so you may easily utilize the Chart(x) E.H.R. to not only maximize your practice’s efficiency but to also qualify for the financial benefits provided by Federal and State agencies for appropriate use of electronic medical records and quality reporting.
There are numerous quality and financial programs unique to states and counties so this document is limited to “Meaningful Use” program and the application for Stage 1 stimulus funds and the Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI). These two programs utilize the same reporting requirements as well as the patient attributes readily available in the Chart(x) E.H.R.
When you modify your workflow slightly and capture and manage all of the relevant patient related attributes, the process of creating the reports for submission to the state and federal agencies will be done easily from the Chart(x) E.H.R.
